One of those is higher resolution, and the other way is a cleaner sequence of frames &#8212; ones that do not produce interlacing artifacts.<\/p>\n<p>That is, of course, unless the producer of the PAL DVD messes them up. This has happened with the Roadshow Entertainment titles\u00a0<em>Pulp Fiction<\/em> and\u00a0<em>Mad Max<\/em>, and the 20th Century Fox title\u00a0<em>Independence Day<\/em>.
