As a professional writer myself, it brings me back to earth to read James Lileks, a writer who is, oh, at least three orders of magnitude better. Fortunately he doesn&#8217;t write primarily about my area. Whew! Still, sometimes he notices home entertainment equipment and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lileks.com\/bleats\/archive\/03\/0903\/090503.html\">this time<\/a> Sony cops it.<\/p>\n<p>I am bemused by his Sony &#8216;amplifier [which] has &#8212; groan &#8212; proprietary plugs for the speaker connections.&#8217; I don&#8217;t think we have one of those here in Australia. Thank goodness. He is also &#8216;surprised that Sony movies don&#8217;t require the installation of a third eyeball, or perhaps a cochlear implant to pick up certain wavelengths of sound.&#8217; Hmmm. How about <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hifi-writer.com\/he\/dictionary.htm#sdds\">SDDS<\/a>?
