Roadshow Entertainment releases

Roadshow Entertainment releases. I see that Roadshow Entertainment will be releasing the Lord of the Rings Trilogy on Blu-ray as a box set on 5 August 2010, with an RRP of $99.95 for anyone that wants to save a few bucks.

Note, also, The Hurt Locker is available (DVD and Blu-ray) from next week (25 June). I’ve had a quick look at the disc, and the picture quality seems pretty good.

For those who don’t want to wait (and want to save money), you can currently pick up the LOTR BD trilogy from Amazon UK for £25.46 (after VAT removal) + £3.68 postage. That’s a bit over $50AU.

Quite right. Amazon.co.uk is an excellent place to buy Blu-ray for three reasons. 1: the discs support Region B so you can’t get stuck that way. 2: it UK pound is so dreadful at the moment that prices are cheap. 3: postage is faster than the US Amazon.

Will these be the extended versions or theatrical release?

Same old, same old. If you’ve already bought the original titles, you won’t want the box set I expect.
